Frankly, I always had a great sex life.
I actually started a little young (I'm embarrassed to say).
But it was always good. In fact, it was not good, it was great.
This went on all through my teenage years. I was quite the young Casanova.
Then I joined the army, and I certainly lived the life of the single soldier – like in the movies.
In basic training we used to party pretty hard, and there were always lots of women who loved soldiers.
Then on into my thirties and forties, I was like a young bull. A raging young bull. I had a sex drive that wouldn't quit.
Women? You could say I had my share.
Then I got married. It was all still good.
But suddenly, in my fifties, it all started going downhill.
It took a while, but I went from a total stud to a total dud.
I started to gain fat, especially around my middle and chest. But this weight gain wasn't from eating excess food. I'd gained weight before, and I could easily lose it fast by simply dieting and a little exercise.
All of a sudden, erections weren't what they used to be.
That was really embarrassing. Especially for me. I used to be a star in bed.
The "Civil War" For Your Masculinity

The first part of it is that your testosterone levels are falling.
According to the Mayo Clinic:

There Is Another Force

Estrogen is actually made from the circulating testosterone in the body by an enzyme called aromatase.

First of all, this deluge of feminine hormones finds a welcome home in fatty tissues in your stomach. You know this is happening when your muscles shrink and you become fatter, especially around the stomach.
Using these fat cells as a base, estrogen spreads throughout your body. The amount of estrogen grows larger and larger. Finally there's more estrogen than there is testosterone. 2) When estrogen gets the upper hand everything changes.
